Born in Mexico City to an Italian-Mexican family, Giovanni Piacentini writes music that speaks across traditions — drawing on the warmth of Latin folk, the rigor of European classical form, and the open landscape of American contemporary music. His compositions have been heard at Carnegie Hall, praised by the Los Angeles Times and Forbes, and recognized with a Latin GRAMMY nomination.
